Restoman Guide
Short guides for owners, admins and staff: what each screen of the dashboard does, who can use it and what each message means.
Getting started
- Sign in to Restoman
You sign in with your email and a 6-digit code we send you. There's no password.
- Choose a business
If you work at more than one business, you choose which one to work in and switch between them whenever you like.
- My account
Your name and email, the invitations you've been sent, your businesses and the language you see Restoman in.
- The business's home
The first page of every business, with your roles, the locations you can reach and the sections you can use.
Your team
- Your team
Who works at your business, with which roles and at which locations, and the invitations still pending.
- Invite someone
You send them an email with a link to join the business, with their roles and their locations. The invitation lasts 7 days.
- Accept an invitation
What to do when you're invited to a business, and what each message means if the invitation can't be accepted.
- Change someone's roles
You change a person's roles, their location access and the locations where they work.
- Remove someone or leave the business
You take a person out of the business, or you leave it yourself. The invitations they sent that are still pending are canceled.
- Transfer ownership
The owner offers the business to someone else in it. The proposal is accepted by email and lasts 72 hours.
- Shifts
You plan each location's week, who works each day and when, shifts past midnight included.
Your business
- Locations
You add, edit, archive and reactivate the business's locations. Each one has its digital menu and a unique identifier.
- Roles
What each person can do. Restoman's roles come ready-made; you create custom roles yourself, with their permissions.
- Activity
The record of what happened in your business, who did it and when, including what Restoman support did.
- Tables and QR
You arrange a location's tables by section, choose which ones take orders, print their QR codes and regenerate one when needed.
- Opening hours
You set the days and times each location is open, ranges past midnight included, and the holidays it stays closed.
- Connecting Mercado Pago
You connect the business's Mercado Pago account to take payment for orders, confirm it after a transfer, and disconnect it.
- Location settings
Each location's logo, cover photo, menu colour and style, what customers see, takeaway orders, the pause and tips.
- Sales summary
How much the business sold today, this week, this month or all time, the average ticket, kitchen time, best sellers and the spreadsheet to download.
- Write to support
You write to the Restoman team from the dashboard and follow your questions and their answers in My questions.
- Connected assistants
How to connect Claude, ChatGPT or another assistant to your business, what it can do, and how to disconnect it.
- Your menu on Google
Put the link to your location's digital menu on your Google Business Profile, so people who find you on Google or Maps open it from there.
- Food court stalls
The locations selling at your food court, your business's or others', since when, and whether diners can see them yet.
The menu
- Menus and categories
You build each location's menu with its categories, in the order your customers see them, and put the products in each one.
- Products
You enter each product once, with its price, its description and where it appears, and use it in as many menus as you like.
- Option groups
What customers choose when ordering, such as the combo, the doneness or the sauces. Created once and used by as many products as you like.
- Product photos
You give each product a photo, as JPG, PNG or WebP up to 5 MB, and your customers see it on the digital menu.
- Sold out
You mark what ran out at a location, until tomorrow or until you reactivate it. A dish whose required options sold out can't be ordered either.
- Promo codes
You create promo codes, a percentage or a fixed amount off, that your customers type in the cart when they order takeaway.
- Stock
You enter the business's ingredients and each product's recipe; each location counts its own, and paid orders take them off by themselves.
- Kitchen
The screen for the kitchen's iPad: you sell out a dish or an option in two taps, in high contrast. Tickets will arrive there.
Orders
- Takeaway orders
Each location's takeaway orders, newest first: where each one stands, what the customer ordered, how they paid, and the refund that didn't go through.
- The counter
The screen for the counter's computer: takeaway orders arrive with a sound, the ticket prints by itself and you mark when it is ready.
- Reviews
What customers say about each takeaway order, with their stars, and how to reply. Only your team and the person who left a review see it.
