# Restoman and agents

> What an agent can read with no account, how a person gives it access to their business, and what Restoman doesn't offer yet.

Restoman is the system restaurants in Argentina run their menu, takeout orders, kitchen and sales on. An agent, or the software that connects it, can use it in two ways: read what's public with no account, or act on a business with the permission of a person who works there.

## Public, with no account

All of this is read-only and shows the same as the pages:

- **The Guide**, this help center: every guide as markdown, an [MCP](https://docs.restoman.com.ar/en/developers/publicos.md#the-guide-s-mcp) that searches it and an [A2A agent](https://docs.restoman.com.ar/en/developers/publicos.md#the-a2a-agents) that answers from it.
- **The menus** of the published restaurants: every menu and dish as markdown, an [MCP](https://docs.restoman.com.ar/en/developers/publicos.md#the-menus-mcp) to list them, read them and find dishes, and an A2A agent that answers what a place serves. They never say what's sold out right now: that changes by the minute, and the menu's page shows it.
- **Restoman itself**: what it is, what it costs and who it's for, on Restoman's site and its `llms.txt`.

## Acting on a business

The [Restoman MCP](https://docs.restoman.com.ar/en/developers/mcp.md) reads and changes a business on behalf of a person: its locations, the menu and what's sold out, takeout orders, sales, pausing orders and translating the menu. That person connects it with [OAuth](https://docs.restoman.com.ar/en/developers/oauth.md), choosing the business and what it may do. It never does more than their role allows, and everything it changes shows in the business's activity under their name, "via" the agent.

There are no keys to request: the agent registers itself and the person grants access from the dashboard. How it looks from the team's side: [Connected assistants](https://docs.restoman.com.ar/en/guia/asistentes.md).

## What Restoman doesn't offer yet

- **A partner API**, with its own keys, webhooks and an SDK: it comes when a partner needs it.
- **Registering without a person**: an agent never acts on a business unless someone on the team connects it.
- **Taking or refunding payments**, changing dishes or prices, or changing people and roles: those happen in the dashboard.
